Entry 4 and 7/14 - Cass Cooking n Co

Food is my number one priority in a lot of cases. I eat the equivalent of my own body weight quite often, well maybe not that much, but food is very important to me. So naturally I’m curious to know what they plan to feed me in the middle of a frozen continent where you need to work at keeping foods from turning to solid blocks of ice.  So far, I don’t know too much about what food we will be eating but I’m assuming our fair share of dehydrated food will be consumed.  Thus using a primus stove for melting ice is key.

After we were familiar with the stove, Ron, our host from Antarctica New Zealand showed us a few more fun toys.  He had a survival bag in the case of an emergency that the helicopter went down.  It had sleeping bags, tents, first aid and warm clothes. It also had 5 blocks of Cadbury chocolate which we were all very relieved to see.
